Help you recover, rest, and re-nourish yourself after birth

Our holistic postpartum doula’s goal is to care for you and ensure that you are getting adequate rest, recovery time and nourishment as your body goes through another huge transformation after having your baby. She will be there to care for you whether its holding your baby so you can take a nap, prepare you healing foods with specific nourishing ingredients that supports postpartum healing, care for your baby so you can have time to yourself, and do whatever it takes to help you feel confident in your new role as a parent. 

Provide education and parenting coaching

Your postpartum doula will also care for your baby and your family. Helping you trust in your abilities as a parent, teach you newborn care such as feeding, swaddling, soothing an upset baby and understanding newborn cues and characteristics. She will be an open book for whatever questions you have, helping you navigate concerns, and helping you resolve any obstacles that come your way as you are navigating this new chapter of life.

Helping you transition into the 4th trimester

Support from your postpartum doula can include

  • Newborn care and education – swaddling, diapering, feeding, sleep, baby wearing and calming techniques taught by your doula
  • Caring for your household – preparing meals, entertaining siblings, providing light cleaning and running errands so that you can rest with your baby
  • Healing meal creation – our holistic postpartum doula is also a certified integrative nutrition consultant and knows what foods can nourish and help your postpartum body heal. Recipe creation and cooking can be a requested add-on
  • Healing rituals, reiki and meditation – when your baby naps, your postpartum doula can provide reiki, sound therapy and guided meditation to help you heal energetically. This also greatly decreases stress and anxiety, calms the nervous system and helps you feel grounded and connected. This is a non-invasive offering.
  • Lactation support – your postpartum doula can work with you to help you navigate breastfeeding or chestfeeding.
  • Emotional support – one of the most valuable offerings a postpartum doula can provide is to be your new mom confidante. You can share your birth story, vent your frustrations, and have a trusted ally to talk to. Your doula is non-judgemental, unbiased and will be your shoulder to lean on as you navigate the emotional highs and lows of becoming a new parent.
  • Being a calming presence that provides a sense of ease and reassurance – your doula knows the importance of being a calming presence in a household with a new baby, and will be availble whenever you need her for support and extra encouragement.
